" Ancient flavours - spelt and corn -" is a biscuit from our line "Ancient Grains", made with only Spelt and
Corn flours, with a simple but intense taste. The Ancient Grains are cereals whose gluten has got a different structure than that of wheat, which makes it easier to assimilate, reducing its potential toxicity. They are rich in antioxidants and minerals, show a better protein composition and lower glycemic impact, thus reducing the inflammatory rate of the organism. The Corn is native of the central America where it was the basis of the indigenous people food, including Maja and Aztecs. They called it "bread of life". 
This cereal is rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated acids including omega 3, fibers, proteins and zeatina, which having a high content of essential aminoacids that are important for the formation of the human body tissues. Corni s also rich in mineral salts such as potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc, and selenium and vitamins of groups A, E and PP. The spelt instead is already used by the Romans, is the oldest variety of wheat, is rich in fibers. The Spelt is particularly indicated in low-calorie diets and for asthenic and demineralized people, because it is rich in proteins, minerals, vitamins and fibers.
We have decided to combine synergistically not only the properties but also the taste of the two cereals which is mutually reinforcing.
This biscuit is suggested for an healthy and balanced breakfast but also to break the day with a tasty snack.

The biscuit is made entirely by hand, with brown sugar and without the addition of hydrogenated fats or preservatives.
